How to Draw Hip-Hop

howtodrawhiphopThis is a good non-ghetto-yet-street hood book about art.  The main components of the book are b-boys and b-girls.  Although they explain how to draw people with street-cred, they explain that they can have class, too.  As Cas (the main character) teaches Shay (the other main character) all about art, this is going on.  Then near the end, Cas explains that you can get inspiration from magazines, the park, the internet, and other places.  This really caught my mind.  He said, “Don’t bite,” which means to take someone else’s artwork and turn it into yours.  Overall it was a good book as it guided you into a long, step-by-step process, till you create your masterpiece!
