Newberry Award Winner Lois Lowry has produced another outstanding piece of literature. Unlike The Giver and Number the Stars, this book is a humorous examination of human relationships. As parents and children try to get rid of each other we learn great vocabulary (thankfully there is a glossary) and see kids learn to change their nefarious ways and become affable and winsome individuals. Will the parents get rid of the kids, or will they meet a chilly end on the mountainside? To learn if Commander Melanoff finds his long-lost son or the baby left on the front steps, check out The Willoughbys today.
