Name the First-Hatched Rainbow Trout!

The rainbow trout eggs in Ms. Saunderson’s aquarium began to hatch Thurs 1/14!

Oakland Mills Middle is working with Trout in the Classroom to help raise approximately 150 trout to release into a local stream here in Columbia.  The eggs were delivered on Thurs 1/7, and the first eggs hatched on Thurs 1/14.  In the video above, watch one trout move from the egg stage into an alevin.  Stay tuned to see the trout as they grow over the next few months!
