Imagine if you were a drummer, a great one at that. You have a younger brother, and you and every kid in school has a crush on the hottest girl of school. But what if your world was turned upside down? Don’t ask me, ask Steven. His 5-year-old brother, Jeffrey, was diagnosed with cancer. With that Steven is breaking down, his grades drop, he is acting bitter, has girl problems … Life is tough, but you don’t know how much. [JG]

Steven is an pretty normal teenage boy. He’s got an annoying little brother, loving parents, and the biggest crush on the hottest girl at his school. He’s in an All-City Jazz Band, and has a bunch of friends. Normal, right? You would think so. But one morning, Steven’s life is dramatically turned around. His little brother, Jeffrey, one day falls off his chair and gets a bloody nose. Steven thinks everything is all rright, but Jeffrey’s nose won’t stop bleeding, and he won’t stop crying. His mother comes in and notices that Jeffrey is losing tons of blood, so Jeffrey is rushed to the hospital. When Steven gets home from school, Jeffrey still isn’t home. So many questions run through Steven’s head. “Is Jeffrey OK?” “Was this my fault?” “Is he dead?!” If you want to know what happens to poor little Jeffrey and Steven’s lives, read this book. I highly recommend it.
