Princess Helen of Sparta and her friend, the former slave Milo, have set off on their journey for the golden fleece of a flying ram. Or, more preciesly, to follow her brothers, to prove she can do whatever they can.
But it isn’t long before Helen runs into trouble. She falls for a guy who has no interest in her, she must suffer the loss of a dear friend, she has a jealous woman with a burning love trying to kill her, and a man trying to keep her prisoner. Will Helen be able to find her way home? Will she ever see her brothers or sister again? And will Milo profess his love for her?
This is the sequel to Nobody’s Princess. I really liked it, personally. [Jordan]

When she asks for her fortune from the Oracle at Delphi, princess Helen of Sparta is told “You’re going to grow up rich and beautiful, you’re going to meet a handsome man who’ll change your life, and you’re going to go on a long voyage with him.” The words are not prophecy, but a mere joke. But they do not come even close to describing Helen.

A very fast-paced thriller. Carl Hobbes is a 17-year-old college student who hacks systems just for the fun of it. He gets in a little over his head by penetrating the Fort Knox gold bar holding safe. All he did was open the door though, so what does the government want to do with Carl? Will he survive his new home in cages next to the world’s most terrible mercenaries? Read Icecore and find out!
Meg Falconer and Aiden Falconer’s parents are put on trial for aiding foreign terrorists but were framed. While their parents are in jail, Meg and Aiden escape from juvenile detention. When everything is over, Meg and her parents wish for everything to be normal again — NOT. As Aiden and Meg are walking home, a van pulls over next to them and grabs Meg, then pulls off. Since Aiden is the only witness, things are bound to get rough. If you love realistic fiction, this is very good for you. Book 1 of the Kidnapped series.
For Theodore (aka Armpit), life after camp Greenlake could get tricky, struggling to keep his job and get his GED. This story is great if you like stories of triumph. I thought this book was ok.
This is a very surprising and unexpected book. When a young boy turns invisible, all havoc follows. You’ll be on the edge of your seat.
This is possibly my favorite book ever written. This book is about Marty and Grace, two outgoing 13-year-olds. One day they get pulled out of school and dropped in a jungle by a mysterious uncle who’s trying to help them. This is a great book for anyone who loves an adventure. This book will leave you wanting a sequel!
