Ginny, a girl who is starting school, makes all these different kinds of lists for the new school year. She makes a new friend named Becky Soo. She tries to get back together with her old friend, Mary Catherine Kelly, but fails. She tries her best to make her year fun, but it seems just the opposite happens. Her dad is dead, she didn’t get the part in the “Sugarplum Fairy” that she wanted, and she broke her wrist. In fact, she had a pretty rough year even though she kept strong and stayed healthy.

I thought the title was a little strange at first, but when you finish it you’ll finally understand the meaning of the title. It was a bit sad in the middle of the book. I do recommend it. [carebare 443]

The mean girl Mackenzie made Zoey and Chloe be on her side (the mean side) and Nikki quit the talent show, but she found a band and signed up again … and lost. My favorite characters were Zoey and Chloe and Nikki. My favorite scene was when they were going to make an album. [J Rock]

A man goes on a journey to fight evil, and then goes back home after the end. My favorite character is Zozimos, and my favorite scene was where he was scared of something. The weakest part of the book is where he was supposed to fight a soldier instead of getting scared of him. The surprising part was where he fought a large soldier. [lightning 451]

This comic book has a whole bunch of short stories (in comic form) including sci-fi, fantasy, and some just plain weird. There is a comic about mushrooms, a “perfect” cat, and much more. My favorite comic was probably the first one because it has a very surprising ending. I also liked the comic involving this guy who got stuck in traffic on the way home from work, so he used an alterate “route.” It was a good mix of action, funny, and weird comics. [ππ]

The Midnight Sun is at it again. This time they’re in a cacao plantation. But where is it? It’s in a zoo. Why a cacao plantation, you may ask? Well, the villain, Señor Hugo, is trying to make a chocolate so rich it will send Cass back to the past to get the secret from her great ancestor, the jester.

I really liked this book, just like all of the others in the Secret series. The plot twists and turns. All of the footnotes add compelling details. Even better the appendix, it shows you even more that the book can’t explain within the plot, such as Max-Ernest’s 100 languages to say hello. Overall, I loved this book. [That Girl]

It is my favorite because it’s so humorous and funny. My favorite part was when she saw her mom’s Juliet costume and totally freaked out! These kids are trying to win the school science fair, but the rich kids always win because they cheat. The kids try to bust them and end up getting caught in a terrorist plot to destroy America. This book is awesome!! There’s a lot of action and some suspense, but it’s mostly funny. Some scenes were so funny I almost fell off my chair I was laughing so hard. My favorite character was probably the robot owl. [ππ]

Melody is almost 11 years old and has never spoken a single word because she has Cerebral Palsy. So nobody knows anything that’s in her head until she gets a special computer to help her talk. Melody makes a quiz team, and now she gets to show what she knows. She was about to go to Washington DC, but misses her plane – but her friends help her feel better.

I LOVED this book. I loved how Melody was able to solve problems. I also loved her personality (strong). This book is very strong and promotes a good message. Don’t give up on your dreams! [kittengirl]

A kid named Greg has to deal with the tough life of middle school along with his own personal problems. Like the time when he and his friend Rowley tried to start a lawn care service, but neither of them actually knew how to run a lawn mower. Or when he said he was more of an indoor person and preferred to play video games on a beautiful summer day.

I liked how there was always some type of comedic element in it. I didn’t like how the main character only cared about himself and no one else. [regular show rules]

This is a book of stories written by one of the scariest authors, and it was amazing. As you read, you have to figure out the stories to get scared. In one story, I got very scared when a woman was seeing ghosts and there was another black-haired, black-eyed woman staring at them with a black dress. This book is a hit in my opinion! Fone finds a girl named Thorn who takes Fone back to her house to help him. Fone tells her how he was run out of Boneville.Thorn says she will help him get back home even though she has not heard of Boneville.
