My favorite character from the story is the dad. He was very understanding even though he knew about Paisley and the band. Mr. Tilery would cover for Paisley whenever she was late coming home from her band practicing. Mrs. Tilery was the only person who didn’t know about Paisley being a drum player. A pretty weird name for a book, right? Well, this is the second book in the series! I LOVED this one even more than the first. So, for those of you who haven’t read Stargirl, it’s about a girl named Stargirl (pretty obvious, huh?) who’s the weirdest girl in high school. She has a pet rat, wears theatre costumes to school, plays the ukelele in the lunchroom, decorates her desk, cheers for the game on the field while they’re not playing, etc. etc. etc. Then she meets Leo, and Leo meets her, and it’s pretty straightforward from there!
