I read this book because the Mongols were a fierce war machine, and I wanted lots of action. Yes, there’s blood and body parts … but I didn’t expect Emmajin to spend so much time wondering how it would feel to stroke her fingers across Marco’s hairy chest. Bleuch, too much for me, you might like it if you’re into that sort of thing. At least the war scene near the end in was intense. Emmajin is vicious! [Free Pizza]

This story is about a girl named Paisley Tilery who lives in Texas. Paisley has had a dream ever since she was a little girl – to go to Texapoolaza, where you perform your talent in front of a big audience. Paisley is a drummer in a band. Mrs. Tilery is very protective over Paisley and her sister Lacey. All their mom wants for them is to have the best education. They don’t think that. Both Lacey and Paisley have to hide what they want to do because they’re afraid their mom won’t approve. Already Paisley has to hide to her mom that she’s a drummer. Lacey has to hide that she wants to go to cosmetology school. Her mom wants her to be a singer. Paisley’s life changes when they get a new lead singer for the band.

My favorite character from the story is the dad. He was very understanding even though he knew about Paisley and the band. Mr. Tilery would cover for Paisley whenever she was late coming home from her band practicing. Mrs. Tilery was the only person who didn’t know about Paisley being a drum player. Mr. Tilery was the type of person who would let his daughters tell the truth to their mother. That’s what Paisley and Lacey had to do. [Unicorn123]

This is a pretty good book. It just took me a couple of tries to get it started. After I did, it got so interesting. The author blends in Annabel’s stress, anger, love, hate, and loneliness into a very interesting story. [Mo_143]

My favorite character is Nigel because he works really hard to make Chloe like him. Also, Nigel is trying to figure out who keeps killing all the people and then blaming his parents. [Pink Elephant]

This story is about a girl trying to find love. She comes to school one day and notices that not a single boy notices her. So she starts to think about what’s wrong and what she could do to change. She notices this boy that looks like a popular guy who knows a lot of other boys. So she goes up to him to ask him if he could be her coach. He looks at her and says no way, he can’t stand girls. Plus lots of people would come to her and say he makes girls cry.

My favorite character is Haruna. She’s sporty and girly at the same time. She dresses pretty and wears pretty shoes to match. At the same time she plays sports. She plays baseball and enjoys it a lot. She also sets out her free time to look at magazines so she can know more about boys and what she needs to do to improve. [Unicorn123]

Bella (a mortal) and Edward (a vampire) get married. For their honeymoon, they go to an island. Bella gets pregnant, but has a hard time surviving with a vampire/human baby inside of her. Will she live?

My favorite scene was when Edward and Bella got married. My favorite character was Edward because he protects Bella in the book. It made me laugh when Bella thought some of the names for the baby were lame. I think readers who love vampire romance would love this book! [the leo lover 4]

This story is mainly about Lena who just moved to Gaitlin. She is a caster (like a witch, but she thinks it’s a stereotype). She and Ethan are trying to figure out why they have a “special” bond. I LOVED THIS BOOK! The story is addicting and will keep you glued to each page. I loved how the author made Lena so different, like an individual. The book mostly applies to girls who aren’t afraid to be themselves. It’s a perfect mix of mystery and suspense and drama. [Mo_143]
