This story is about a guy named Charlie Joe Jackson who comes up with funny and insightful tips on getting out of reading. For example, read books with short chapters. Another example, only read books with authors whose name you can pronounce. I really liked this book because I could easily relate to the topic. I don’t like reading, so this book is now one of my favorites. People who hate to read will enjoy this book as well. [fives55555]

Annabel Greene is living the life! She’s a model, has tons of friends .. and that’s almost one hundred per cent false. She has an older sister named Whitney, who has a horrible eating disorder. Annabel’s other sister, Kristen, left for work. She is left alone to deal with her sister. She has no one to talk to – until she meets Owen. He helps Annabel out with all of her problems and her lies. He helps her to speak out and tell the truth to her mom about how she hates modeling. The only one standing in her way is her ex-best friend, Sophie.

This is a pretty good book. It just took me a couple of tries to get it started. After I did, it got so interesting. The author blends in Annabel’s stress, anger, love, hate, and loneliness into a very interesting story. [Mo_143]

Kristi can read minds. She has a semi-crush on her ex-boyfriend’s brother Gusty. Then a new kid comes, Mallory, who ends up liking her. But then her dad comes back … with another woman. Her mom gets promoted and wants to “share some time” with her. Not to make things worse, it turns out Gusty does like her, but so does Mallory. Choose now before somebody gets hurt.

I loved this book! I clearly understood this character’s feelings. I liked how she described her problems and “solved” them, even the part when she plays those jokes on innocent people. But I didn’t like the part when she “cheats” on Mallory and hurts people other than herself. [Fiddlesticks2000]

This book was actually pretty good. Eric’s school was surprisingly like our own. Even the anti-bullying program was a lot like ours. I thought the characters were very realistic, too. This story is about a girl trying to find love. She comes to school one day and notices that not a single boy notices her. So she starts to think about what’s wrong and what she could do to change. She notices this boy that looks like a popular guy who knows a lot of other boys. So she goes up to him to ask him if he could be her coach. He looks at her and says no way, he can’t stand girls. Plus lots of people would come to her and say he makes girls cry.

My favorite character is Haruna. She’s sporty and girly at the same time. She dresses pretty and wears pretty shoes to match. At the same time she plays sports. She plays baseball and enjoys it a lot. She also sets out her free time to look at magazines so she can know more about boys and what she needs to do to improve. [Unicorn123]

This story is about three girls who have their ups and downs, dealing with gossip, boys, parents and teachers. They are girls just having fun. I liked this book very much. It related a little bit to my everyday life and could help me. I felt like this book catches the image of real teenagers’ lives. It explained how friends deal with breaking up and getting back together. [???]

What if you came to school one day and someone was missing? Someone you cared about, like your friend, crush, or student? And what if they never came back? That is just what happened to Clay Jensen. His long time crush, Hannah Baker, killed herself, but that wasn’t the end of her. She left behind thirteen tapes, reasons why she killed herself. Everyone who contributed to her decision got a tape, explaining how they helped. So when Clay receives the tapes on his doorstep, he is baffled. But the rules of the tapes say you must listen to all of them, so that is what he does. He hears each and every story and visits the places on the map she left as he tries to figure out what he did. He wanted to be someone Hannah could trust with her problems, not be a problem himself. By the time he reaches his own tape he despises pretty much everyone else, and he isn’t sure if he will be any different. He didn’t do anything, right? Maybe that was the worst thing he could have done.

I loved this book even more than usual! Although it was sad, it seemed like it could happen to anybody. I didn’t particularly like any characters, because they all helped end Hannah’s life in one way or another, but I didn’t like Clay the least. My favorite scene was when Clay listened to this tape, because it was very bittersweet. Boys and girls would like this book, and it was VERY suspenseful! It reminded me of the song “How to Save a Life” by The Fray. [trh99]

This story is mainly about Lena who just moved to Gaitlin. She is a caster (like a witch, but she thinks it’s a stereotype). She and Ethan are trying to figure out why they have a “special” bond. I LOVED THIS BOOK! The story is addicting and will keep you glued to each page. I loved how the author made Lena so different, like an individual. The book mostly applies to girls who aren’t afraid to be themselves. It’s a perfect mix of mystery and suspense and drama. [Mo_143]

This book starts out with the breaking up of KJ and Jayd. There is a shooting and KJ is with another girl. She plans to fight Jayd for KJ, but Jayd is not into it. She planned to start the year off drama-free. With her legacy, though, that’s something she can’t have. I really liked this book – drama filled, just the way I like it. Jayd is an awesome role model. These girls get into some really bad places like having a social life with a teacher, a very good relationship with a boy, and then a smoking teen. Yeah, I loved it! It had drama, action, and suspense. It has everything in one book. You will be in for lots of surprises if you read this book. [Ashley]
