Max is no ordinary 14-year-old girl. For one, she, along with 5 other kids, were created in a lab to save the world. So having wings can only help, right? Well, that’s partially true, except that this means the lab the kids escaped from are constantly tracking them down to capture them again. It doesn’t help that she’s basically homeless, either. One day she comes back from scouting for a home to find her flock completely gone. All except for Fang, that is. Now it’s her job to get them back.
This book is a page turner. It has problem after problem. It’s really exciting and of course has romance! [The SpaceCowboy]

This book is amazing. It’s about kids who have avian DNA, so they are 98 percent human and 2 percent bird. They have to run for their lives because Erasers are chasing them. Erasers have lupine DNA (wolf). They are bloodthirsty and can kill them. They are all part of an experiment, and Angel, the 6-year-old, gets taken away with the Erasers. Max, Fang, and Nudge try to save her. I LOVE this book, it’s the best. [Chilicheese]
Piper McCloud is a small town girl, but she has always been different. Ever since she was a baby she has had the ability to fly. She has never gone to school; she has never interacted with kids. The next morning her house is infested with the media and some government folks. They offer her a place to be with other kids, to control her gift. Conor Broekhart was born in a hot air balloon. He resided on Great Saltee, a prosperous kingdom ruled by King Nick. He is taught the still-vague science of aeronautics by a French scientist, Victor. But his happiness comes crashing down when a traitor kills the king and his teacher, and he is the only witness. And Conor gets framed for the entire thing. Now he’s on Little Saltee, Great Saltee’s prison. If he hopes to survive, he must throw his former life away. If he wants to escape, he must fly! This is by far one of Eoin Colfer’s greatest books – I give it a 4.5 out of 5. [Fullmetal]
This is a creepy book. So this girl Miranda hears on the news that an asteroid is going to hit the moon. Everyone thinks this is super cool until it happens. The asteroid was bigger than anyone thought and it knocked the moon off its course. Now the moon is really close to Earth. This is causing terrible things to happen!! But things start to get strange – strange with the new school Anne puts them in, strange with Max’s voice in her head, and even strange with Anne! What happens?
