Max is no ordinary 14-year-old girl. For one, she, along with 5 other kids, were created in a lab to save the world. So having wings can only help, right? Well, that’s partially true, except that this means the lab the kids escaped from are constantly tracking them down to capture them again. It doesn’t help that she’s basically homeless, either. One day she comes back from scouting for a home to find her flock completely gone. All except for Fang, that is. Now it’s her job to get them back.

This book is a page turner. It has problem after problem. It’s really exciting and of course has romance! [The SpaceCowboy]

The Angel Experiment

This book is amazing. It’s about kids who have avian DNA, so they are 98 percent human and 2 percent bird. They have to run for their lives because Erasers are chasing them. Erasers have lupine DNA (wolf). They are bloodthirsty and can kill them. They are all part of an experiment, and Angel, the 6-year-old, gets taken away with the Erasers. Max, Fang, and Nudge try to save her. I LOVE this book, it’s the best. [Chilicheese]

The Sea of Monsters

This book is the sequel to The Lightning Thief. It’s the last day of 7th grade, and Percy Jackson is about to make it through the school year without getting expelled until he is attacked by cannibals in gym class. To escape his friend, Tyson, whom Percy thought was mortal, caught fireballs and distracted them long enough for Percy to escape with Annabeth and meet them. When Percy finally looks Tyson in the eyes, he realizes that Tyson is a cyclops. They go back to camp and see that its borders have been poisoned. To save it they go on a quest for the golden fleece. There is a very surprising ending, but it’s really a new beginning. [hopiemopie]

This book is really great. It is just as great — if not better than — the Twilight Saga. And that says a lot. Rose Hathaway is a dhampir/ guardian in training. This means she is half vampire and is training to guard her best friend, Lissa Dragomir, when she is older. Rose is fierce, fun, and in love with her instructor, which everybody knows is forbidden. She has to face death, love, and friendship. The book takes place while the school is on a skiing trip.

There is so much going on: love, death, friendship, and the petty high school dislikes of people. It’s the second installment in the Vampire Academy series. It’s also my favorite series. [The SpaceCowboy]

So what happens when she goes on her first social outing and she’s determined to catch the ball? She flies for it. Well, that doesn’t go so well with the rest of the town. The next morning her house is infested with the media and some government folks. They offer her a place to be with other kids, to control her gift. She takes the offer, leaving everything she has ever known behind. But what if the school isn’t really what it seems? Will her only enemy become her only ally?

This was a really great book. It doesn’t have much romance, but it’s really sweet. You can’t help but admire Piper’s honest personality. [The SpaceCowboy]

This book was great! Filled with excitement and surprises. So, there’s this little girl named Murielle. Her parents were the owners of this HUGE investment company and robbed people of millions of dollars. They skipped town and left Murielle with her Aunt Lois and cousin Tommy. Then there’s this girl named Cathy Ferris. She goes to a summer school in Greenwich. Tommy goes to the same summer school. He sees Murielle one day and says she’s Murielle because of her great resemblance to Rory Lyman (Murielle’s mom). After that, the FBI is all on her back and Cathy is FREAKIN out. Is it because she REALLY IS Murielle, or is she just not used to the attention? [ParamoreFan]

Firestar’s Quest

Let me say that this was not one of the best books Erin Hunter has written. Sure, it was a good book, but finding out that Firestar is destined to do all the great things in the Warrior world isn’t that assuring. I mean, honestly, give it to someone else and keep the spotlight off him. The New Prophecy series actually did that, and it wasn’t half bad. But as always, the great Firestar took a very large part in it. Good luck with taking the spotlight off Firestar, Erin Hunter. [Jadefang22]

Right now I am just starting the book. Anne is telling us what the Nazis have done to the rules. One thing they did is that Jews have to be indoors by 8. The second one is that they have to walk everywhere, which is very very hard. The last one is that everyone had to wear a gold star on their clothing, to school, for shopping, and just walking around. [beamerbrit21]

The Last Olympian

This is my all time fav PJackson book. I think it has had one of the best book wars ever. Usually, wars in other books are unrealistic and stupid, but this is better. Anyway, this is about Percy and his friends teaming up with the rest of camp to fight the evil Titan Kronos. Can they do it?

Other than that, the storyline is pretty predictable but is fun to read. Overall, this is a nice series to read for fun. It’s nice and short, too. [DarkFaerie]

The Battle of the Labyrinth

So far, this is my all time fav Percy Jackson book. It actually had some new, intense parts.

The Titan’s Curse

So far, this is the most unique book in the Percy Jackson series. There’s still no real new aspect of fantasy from this book. It’s still enjoyable though. [DarkFaerie]

The Lightning Thief

A lot of people influenced me to read this book, so I did. Let me say that I really didn’t like it. It was fun to read, ’cause reading is fun, but I felt that it was a complete copy of Harry Potter. There will never be a book as great. As I read this book, I found the same elements I’ve found in all fantasies. Sure, there are some similarities, but there wasn’t anything new or interesting about this book. It’s fun to read, but it will never make it to the top. Sorry, Percy Jackson fans! [DarkFaerie]
